Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to open and develop markets for our products by obtaining approval / acceptance for their use in design and construction specifications at the national, provincial, regional, city, and municipal levels, as well as with engineering and consulting firms.  The primary product emphasis is on HDPE & PP pipe for use on storm drainage applications, but also includes sanitary pipe, Stormtech chambers, Nyloplast structures, and water quality devices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • 60% - Approvals.  Obtain new /enhanced approvals for ADS/Hancor products from national, provincial, regional, city, municipal, and other agencies within their territory.
  • 15% - Acceptance.  Work with engineering design/consulting firms to get them to approve and specify ADS/Hancor products for their projects.
  • 15% - Sales Support.  Includes site visits, sales/contractor training, field investigations, plan review, technical letters, etc.
  • 10% - Other.  Office time – phone calls, emails, reports, continuing education, etc.
  • Travel (1-2 overnights per week)
  • Product knowledge
  • Presentation of products to government and specifying agencies
  • Develop markets for our products
  • Work with engineering and consulting firms
  • Provide technical support to ADS field sales & engineering team

Qualifications:

  • US citizenship & lives in the territory
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Registered professional engineer
  • Minimum 5 years related industry experience
  • Established reputation within the engineer and public works community
  • Strong technical and sales experience
