Responsibilities

This position supports the business users of our Oracle eBusiness Suite application software.  The analyst will specialize in the Finance area and be responsible for the following modules: Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Projects and Cash Management. Oracle HR experience. Incentive Compensation and Hyperion experience is an added benefit.  The analyst will work closely with key Oracle users from all business units, and with developers and database administrators on technical issues.  The analyst’s highest level goals are to help the business use our applications effectively and efficiently. Would like candidates to have experience supporting or implementing finance modules of Oracle eBusiness Suite version R12.2. 

 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to questions/issues raised by business users regarding Oracle software function – 40%
  • Write/maintain end user documentation

 

  • Maintain module configurations to tailor software functions to best meet the needs of the business – 30%
  • Develop test plans, perform and document system testing of software patches and custom enhancements
  • Produce “ad-hoc” reports over Oracle data. Help the end user in the definition and maintenance of FSG reports. – 10%
  • Attend Oracle conferences and/or user group meetings, as deemed appropriate by manager
  • Resolve tickets assigned to the analyst
  • Continually research Oracle functionality, looking for opportunities to improve configurations and/or business processes – 5%
  • Follow all current department policies, especially regarding the use of workload management tools (e.g. work order and project documentation, time-tracking)
  • Train users on software functionality – 5%
  • Initiate Oracle SR’s (service requests), and monitor to satisfactory resolution
  • Serve as liaison between business users and technical resources (developers / database administrators) – 10%

 

  • Perform all duties in a manner consistent with ADS’s core values

 

Job Skills:

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of Oracle functionality and underlying databases
  • Understanding of Oracle’s Metalink web site for researching all types of Oracle documentation
  • Accounting knowledge. The analyst should be able to work with ADS accountants and help resolve issues with “in transit accounts” reconciliation and consolidation of Financial reporting. For this, he/she should understand the flow of each transaction and the corresponding accounting.
  • General understanding of ADS’s business model, current strategic and tactical plans, and operations
  • PL/SQL Skills
  • Competence in Toad, EiS and/or other tools for querying Oracle data (good to have)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

  • General understanding and experience with Intercompany processing in Oracle

 

 Educational Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree with preferred major in Business or Information Technology

 

 

 

 Preferred Experience:

 

  • Five years of proven experience supporting or implementing finance modules of Oracle eBusiness Suite version 11.5.10 or later

 

  • Project Management skills and/or experience is preferred
