Responsibilities

Responsible for credit and collections functions for specified brands/regions, through direct customer contact and by overseeing functions of credit analyst(s).  Makes major credit decisions regarding medium to high volume accounts.

 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviews and approves credit limits on new and existing accounts
  • Prepares A/R and collection reports for dissemination to regional sales offices
  • Determines when accounts are placed on credit hold
  • Coordinates credit limits and collection activity with credit analysts
  • Makes determination with Corporate Credit Manager to assign accounts to outside agency
  • Analyze financial statements to determine higher credit lines
  • Authority to negotiate payment arrangements
  • Participate in update meetings with Corporate Credit Manager

  • Financial analysis knowledge
  • Strong communication skills

 

 Educational Requirements:

 

  • Bachelors Degree from accredited college
  •  Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

 

 Preferred Experience:

 

  • 5 years experience as credit manager in high volume manufacturing environment
