Job Description:

  • Act as an embedded resource and liaison connecting FP&A and Operations in broad support of planning and analysis, focused on transportation, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement activities
  • Provide leadership to the FP&A operations function, which may include efforts related to M&A due diligence, M&A Integration, Ops Strategic Planning, and Ops tactical planning and execution initiatives
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile inconsistencies, and “summarize up” from detailed data/information to a higher level of insight
  • Be an instrumental contributor to the monthly forecasting process
  • Drive ongoing efforts focused on streamlining, improving, and automating recurring ops reporting, including adding more insights related to trends, exceptions, and visualizations
  • Collaborate across assorted business functions (finance, accounting, sales, operations, IT, HR, Investor Relations, etc.) providing support with ad‐hoc analysis, forecasts, data analysis, and work through impromptu projects as requested with particular emphasis on Operations
  • Drive through challenges in order to effectively deliver on commitments
  • Provide support to challenge key planning assumptions, projections, and conclusions based on quantitative analysis
  • Manage the development and ongoing preparation of assorted decks (senior leadership presentations, board material, operation meetings, sales & ops planning, etc.)



Qualified applicants should possess the following background and characteristics:

  • Solid analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude for solving complex challenges using MS Excel
  • Specifically, candidates should possess a strong comfort level with advanced excel functions combined with an awareness of the ‘art of the possible’ in terms of realizing the potential of excel (e.g. constructing models, efficiently compiling data, conducting analysis, building well-designed charts, incorporating analytics into presentations, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills via written, verbal, and through analysis; combines analytics to support a narrative and tell the story
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of associates ranging from C‐level leadership to entry‐level associate across the entire enterprise
  • Proven ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage and prioritize work accordingly
  • Proficient with the entire suite of Microsoft Office products; namely Excel and PowerPoint. (Familiarization with ThinkCell an added plus).
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and influence
  • Possesses genuine ‘intellectual curiosity’ (seeks to understand) and has a strong interest in continuous learning & development
  • Demonstrated experience converting analysis into narratives through the creation of compelling and well-designed presentations is a strong plus
  • Ambitious, motivated, and intellectually sharp
  • College degree (Typical candidates have an educational background focused on business, finance, accounting, economics or other analytical disciplines, but exceptions will be made for the right candidate, skillset, and level of experience)
  • 5 or more years of progressive FP&A experience
  • MBA is preferred, but is not required
