Responsibilities

Job Description

The positon entails the following tasks:

  • Provide broad support of the FP&A corporate function, which may include efforts related to M&A, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Business Intelligence, and/or Planning efforts
  • Act as a liaison across several business functions including finance, accounting, sales, operations, IT, HR, and Investor Relations providing support with ad‐hoc analysis, forecasts, data analysis, and working through impromptu projects as requested
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile inconsistencies, and “summarize up” from detailed data/information to a higher level of insight
  • Implement processes to streamline, improve, and automate recurring reporting
  • Drive through challenges in order to effectively deliver on commitments
  • Provide support to challenge key planning assumptions, projections, and conclusions based on quantitative analysis
  • Manage the development and ongoing preparation of assorted decks (senior leadership presentations, board material, operation meetings, sales & ops planning, etc.)
     

Requirements

Qualified applicants should possess the following characteristics:

  • Solid analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude for solving complex challenges using MS Excel
  • Specifically, candidates should possess a strong comfort level with advanced excel functions combined with an awareness of the ‘art of the possible’ in terms of realizing the potential of excel (e.g. constructing models, efficiently compiling data, conducting analysis, building well-designed charts, incorporating analytics into presentations, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills via written, verbal, and through analysis; combines analytics to support a narrative and tell the story
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of associates ranging from C‐level leadership to entry‐level associate across the entire enterprise
  • Proven ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage and prioritize work accordingly
  • Proficient with the entire suite of Microsoft Office products; namely Excel and PowerPoint. (Familiarization with ThinkCell an added plus).
  • Demonstrated track record of increased responsibility and influence
  • Possesses genuine ‘intellectual curiosity’ (seeks to understand) and has a strong interest in continuous learning & development
  • Demonstrated experience converting analysis into narratives through the creation of compelling and well-designed presentations is a strong plus 
  • Ambitious, motivated, and intellectually sharp
  • College degree (Typical candidates have an educational background focused on business, finance, accounting, economics or other analytical disciplines, but exceptions will be made for the right candidate, skillset, and level of experience)
  • 5 or more years of progressive FP&A experience
  • MBA is preferred, but is not required
