    This internship will require the successful candidate to participate in one or more facility / process improvement projects at our North American manufacturing facilities. Extensive travel required and all travel expenses will be paid by ADS.
    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist with project planning & management
    • Assist in installing resin handling systems
    • Assist in rebuilding production equipment
    • Work with assorted hand and power tools
    • Travel and work in a team-environment
    • Assist in installing production and support equipment
    • Provide weekly and end of project reports
    • Assist in installing chilled and tower water piping systems

    Job Skills:

    This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

    • Must be a self-motivated individual
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite, and 3D modeling
    • Ability to identify and safely use hand and power tools

    Educational Requirements:

    • Have 1-3 years of experience in a technical degree program. Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering or MET preferred.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Mechanically inclined
    • Previous mechanical trades experience

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
    • Work within plant climate conditions
    • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
    • Available for travel across USA and Canada via commercial air.
    • Ability to secure a passport and travel to Canada
    • Ability to work safely in and around plant equipment
    • Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours.
