To enable our continued growth, we are looking to add a Leader of benefits to our dynamic organization.

    ADS is seeking an experienced benefits professional to drive the overall design and administration of the company's employee health and welfare benefit programs.  Through research and understanding of best practices and the competitive landscape, the incumbent will be expected to develop, recommend and implement new or modified benefit programs, policies and practices while leading and developing the health and welfare benefit team.  Individual will be responsible for the development of cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee while ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws/regulations.

    Responsibilities

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the design and administration of the employee health and welfare benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision; life insurance; disability / leave programs; and wellness, including collaboration on developing short and long term benefit related strategies.
    • Manages and leverages relationship with benefit broker / consultant to ensure the competitiveness of the offering and design of our health and welfare programs.
    • Formulates and delivers recommendations to management for new or modified benefit programs, design, documentation, practices, etc. and responsible for implementing approved programs / changes.
    • Leads, manages and develops the ADS Benefits team focused on employee health and welfare.
    • Manages, develops and delivers communications related to benefit programs, design, education, etc. including emphasis on change management where applicable.
    • Engages, advises, and partners with business managers and employees on specific issues and ensures efficient and effective processes to respond to benefit benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
    • Develops processes to regularly gather, review, analyze and report out to management benefit cost information to support management and decision making.
    • Accountable for the compliance of all employee health and welfare benefit programs with federal and state laws/regulations (Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Affordable Care Act, etc.).
    • Oversees the preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies.
    • Responsible for the review and analysis regarding changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and report necessary or suggested changes to management.

     

    Qualifications

    • Five to fifteen (5 - 15) years of progressively responsible benefits experience.
    • Experience in the design and administration of health & welfare, and wellness programs, requiring the interaction with the management team.
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify, monitor, and respond to developing trends across a broad array of benefit programs.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of United States Federal and State regulations impacting employee benefit programs.
    • Tactical expertise and knowledge of benefit program systems, processes and tools, gained through a career of increasing responsibility in benefits.
    • Strategic expertise and knowledge of benefits governance, plan design, laws and regulations, along with related financials, legal, regulatory requirements.
    • Exceptional vendor management skills.
    • Superior organizational, project/process management and technical skills as demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple detailed projects and drive towards deadlines.
    • Oracle benefits administration systems experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance or related
    • CEBS certification strongly preferred
