    We're adding a Finance Shared Services Manager to our team!

    Responsibilities

    The Manager, Shared Services will be responsible for managing and developing the Accounts Receivable, Credit Risk and Collections personnel and functions.  This position is responsible for managing operational processes and providing strategic support and analysis as requested.  This individual will direct and manage all transactional and operational activities for these areas.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide operational direction for Finance Shared Services Order to Cash team.
    • Analyze and evaluate business processes and recommend actions to streamline processes, improve operational efficiencies, and identify opportunities for reducing operational costs and improving customer satisfaction.
    • Produce and analyze daily/weekly/monthly KPIs, dashboards and analytics to measure and improve performance.
    • Providing support for various special projects, business initiatives, system upgrades, as assigned.
    • Assist with external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests.
    • Participate in annual budgeting process and monthly forecast process.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Responsible to direct department hiring and terminations as required. Directs the departments training requirements and ensures that timely and effective training is provided to maximize associate effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Build and maintain relationships by collaborating across functions, locations and departments to foster trust, commitment, accountability and results. Leads organizational project initiatives and ensures initiatives are implemented and operational.
    • Assure timely adherence to monthly closing timelines and continuously work to improve upon them.
    • Occasional work-related travel, from zero up to 10% of the time.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

    The following are required competencies of the position that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

    • Computer Skills: Ability to operate all information technology related business systems, programs and applications in a manner that achieves efficiency, accuracy, and relevancy of information processing and reporting as it applies to this position.  Ability to work in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.  A familiarity with Oracle R12 is preferred. 
    • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as dictated letters or memoranda, invoices, company policies and various documentation, paying particular attention to grammar. Ability to process routine reports and correspondences. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and applicants of the organization. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization. Must speak English fluently.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations relating to any of the Shared Services functions and general ledger accounting. Ability to apply concepts of accounting and basic statistics.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, especially in relation to customer/third party interactions. Ability to interpret a variety of governmental laws and technical information furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
    • Other Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, analyze and conduct research relating to cost accounting topics. Ability to write effective reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and management. Ability to perform calculations relating to shared services functions and general ledger accounting. Ability to apply concepts of accounting and statistics.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
    This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, knowledge related to the job and seven to ten years of job-related experience. Experience in a Shared Services environment preferred.  CPA/CMA certification a plus. Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) needed. 

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    This position has direct reports and indirect reports: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, etc.
