    Summary

    Reporting to the Director of Compensation, Benefits, HRIS & Payroll, the position will drive management and on-going development of the compensation function at ADS through multi-faceted responsibilities which include, but not limited to, managing the Company’s base and incentive compensation programs, management of external market data resources, development of comprehensive  analytics practices, collaboration with managers and the HR Business Partners to research and resolve compensation issues and to help influence the continued evolution of the Company’s compensation programs, structures, tools, processes, etc.  In addition to the compensation related duties, this role will be involved in the management of the ADS equity / stock program.  This person needs to be organized, detail oriented and have strong analytical skills and have a firm understanding of general compensation practices as well as well as knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. 

     

    Primary Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

    Here’s a look into what you will be doing in this role:

    • Manage ADS’ compensation programs, excluding the sales commission and executive compensation programs. Includes, but is not limited to, base pay management (job descriptions, grade / pay range development, merit increase support, etc.) incentive compensation, and equity / stock related programs.
    • Collaborate with Director of Compensation, Benefits, HRIS & Payroll on variety of development and improvement projects, including program design, analysis, budgeting, new compensation and equity / stock programs, etc.
    • Develop and manage external market resources through survey identification, participation and effectively utilizes data to drive viable recommendations and the implementation of approved changes.
    • Collaborate with management, the HR Business Partners, and other ADS team members, on timely resolution of compensation related issues, ad hoc market analyses, new hire offer letters, compensation adjustments, compensation related education/training, etc.
    • Manage equity / stock programs including grants, vesting, exercises and other associated activities
    • Develop and manage analytical reporting practices to support deeper understanding and key business decisions.
    • Collaborates with HRIS and IT teams on system updates (jobs, ranges, bonuses, etc.), improvements, along with involvement in future system evaluations.
    • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with control and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitors trends / changes in federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

     

    Job Skills:

    The person in this role should possess the following skills/knowledge:

     

    • Broad knowledge / understanding of general compensation concepts, compensation management practices, equity / stock programs, etc.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated experience using pivot tables, vlookups and other moderately complex formulas.
    • Solid analytical and communication skills are required.
    • Collaborative, team-oriented partner with the ability to comfortably consult with all levels in the organization to resolve questions effectively and efficiently and escalate more complex issues as needed.
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, high-change business environment.
    • Accuracy, strict attention to detail and confidentiality.

     

    Educational Requirements:

    • BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field

     

    Preferred Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in Compensation administration/analysis.
    • Experience in working with HR information systems strongly preferred. Experience with Oracle® a plus.
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
