    This position requires a general understanding of the testing and evaluations that are conducted in the laboratory. Interacts with lab technicians, engineers, manufacturing and corporate personnel frequently while ensuring all required testing and projects are being completed in a timely manner.  This position will also help to oversee and report on Company-wide QA initiatives.     

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Prepare for and perform SIM and Stub Compression testing along with overseeing the data and program management.
    • Determine whether completed projects are acceptable or not.  Communicate results as necessary.
    • Monitor and perform testing to help ensure timely completion of special projects and product qualifications.
    • Monitor purchased product evaluations and assist in resolution when issues are found.
    • Ensure that equipment is calibrated and maintained to company standards
    • Complete project tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures assuring completed scope of work for any given project
    • Train new employees and assist with work flow throughout the lab when needed
    • Manage competitor sample testing, review finished report and distribute results.
    • Work directly with engineering personnel on new and ongoing projects.
    • Work directly with Laboratory Technicians and Project Administrator to complete required testing.
    • Other job duties as assigned by supervisor
    • Oversee injection molding of polypropylene samples.

    Educational Requirements:

    • College Degree Preferred
    • Willing to consider additional formal training as required.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Quality inspection, plastics processing
    • 5 years minimum experience in a quality function

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Able to lift 50 lbs. consistently
