    Green Line Polymers processes post-industrial and post-consumer HDPE scrap to be recycled directly into environmentally-friendly products rather than being disposed of in a landfill.

    The Sort Line Operator manually sorts plastic to ensure that the correct material is sent through the material stream for additional processing.   The Sort Line Operator is the first step in the quality assurance process of the plastic re-processing operation. The position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required. The Sort Line Operator reports directly to the Grind Line Supervisor.

    Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Manually sort and remove materials that should not enter the grinders and the next step of the manufacturing process.
    • Maintain facility housekeeping
    • Assist with preventive maintenance programs as required
    • Practice proper forklift operation and preventative maintenance
    • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
    • Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
    • Other duties as assigned

    Educational Requirements:

    • High School/Vocational School diploma or equivalent
    • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

    Physical Requirements:

    • The employee will lift and move heavy items, which will require the ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work a variety of shifts and be active at all times, which will require the ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours
    • The position requires full range of body motion daily to include twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles
    • The employee will be handling material which requires the ability to use hands and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods
    • Manufacturing facilities can be extremely hot or cold at times, individuals must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in a variety of temperatures
