    Responsibilities

     

    The Supply Manager – Recycled Materials is responsible for the procurement and inventory of low cost materials for all domestic production locations with consideration of overall cost. Collect and evaluate market data for low cost materials. Lead and develop team members for future growth within the company.

     

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage the procurement and inventories of low cost materials to meet production requirements.
    • Negotiate National agreements for the purchases of low cost material.
    • Collaborate with Material Engineers in evaluating new or existing materials for best product application and optimizer changes.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the Purchasing Team. Develop team members for future growth within the company.
    • Provide forecast, material consumption summary and financials for low cost purchases.
    • Develop new and alternative sources of supply. Maintain and develop long term relationships with suppliers.
    • Collaborate with Corporate Scheduling team on production schedule changes.
    • Review low cost material test sheets for quality acceptance.
    • Process and approve all low cost material invoices.
    • Strategically review purchasing opportunities for overall all cost, market impact, supplier relations, and product quality.
    • Purchase low cost material to meet production requirements.
    • Provide assistance to plant managers and raw material personnel for BPCS entries, production entries, quality issues, or production concerns.

    • Strong computer skills (Excel, MS word, Oracle ERP knowledge, email).

    • Ability to multi task and maintain the efficiency associated with the workload

    Educational Requirements:

    • College undergraduate degree in Business or equivalent.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years related industry experience
    • Purchasing/Supply Management

    Physical Requirements:

    • Travel of 10% required
