Founded in 1966, we operate a global network of 3,700 employees, 63 manufacturing plants and 31 distribution centers.  We continue to experience strong growth, and seek a seasoned Plant Accountant at our plant in Muncy, PA.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Accountant is responsible for the accurate management & reporting of financial data, and is also the primary plant contact for Human Resources administrative issues and information. 

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintain accuracy of general ledger.
    • Ensure compliance to all local, state and Federal regulations and oversee all payroll and account payable and receivable functions.
    • Payroll processing & benefits administration.
    • Administer all attendance programs for all employees.
    • Assist all plant supervisors to manage all disciplinary activities.
    • Maintain records for all plant activities and assist to recruit all required staffs.
    • Assist with required training for all staff.
    • Prepare all required correspondence and maintain all accounting files on computer and ensure accuracy of same.
    • Evaluate all plant documents and ensure compliance to federal and state labor laws.

     

    Applicants should possess the following skill set:

     

    • Strong computer skills – Oracle (preferred) or SAP
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate at different levels within the organization
    • Excellent decision making skills
    • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

    Educational Requirements:

     

    • Minimum High School graduate
    • Business/Accounting degree is preferred

     

    Preferred Experience:

    • 2-3 years general business/office
    • Office Management and Accounting experience
