    This position supports the ongoing efforts of our combined BI/EDW team. This includes ETL, Data Modeling, Standardization, Data Governance, Data Architecture, and BI Architecture of our systems. These systems support the care and feeding of our current state system as well as enhancements to and addition of our new BI dashboarding platform. This role will be an internal leader working in partnership with other Architects, collaborating and working together to build a stable, scalable, and trustworthy single source of truth for our customers. We are looking for an individual who is a confident communicator with high levels of technical experience and know-how. They will be proficient in many data architectures, models, and platforms. They will be a source of knowledge when it comes to best practices and standards and have a high degree of experience in BI visualization tools (like Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI). The ideal candidate will be a highly social person, able to communicate well with everyone in our organization at all levels.


    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


    • Data Modeling, Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Data Governance
    • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and implement solutions
    • Respond to questions/issues raised by business users regarding software and business functions
    • Organize and procure data into the data warehouse
    • Serve as technical data leader/evangelist to the organization
    • Able to create end-to-end BI solutions (from ETL to dashboard)
    • Design/build attractive dashboards solutions that meet the business requirements
    • Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects
    • Develop test plans, perform and document system testing of standard software and custom enhancements
    • Attend vendor conferences and/or user group meetings, as deemed appropriate by manager
    • Follow all current department policies, especially regarding the use of workload management tools (e.g. work order and project documentation, time-tracking)
    • Train users on software functionality
    • Perform all duties in a manner consistent with ADS’s core values
    • Provide day-to-day Production Support when needed

    This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

    • Thorough understanding of data architectures and architecture methods
    • Understanding of Big Data, Cloud architectures, and IIoT
    • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
    • General understanding of ADS’s business model, current strategic and tactical plans, and operations
    • T-SQL & PL/SQL Skills
    • Competence in SQL Server Mgmt Studio
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, requirements gathering and solution designing
    • Track record of following through on commitments  
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Experience in administrating systems including installing patches/updates
    • Excellent problem-solving skills



    • Bachelor’s degree with preferred major in Business or Information Technology

     Preferred Experience:

    • 3+ years’ experience as a Data Architect or Business Intelligence Architect
    • Proficiency in at least 1 BI Dashboarding tool (Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI)
    • 5 years’ experience using ETL tools (Informatica Power Center, SSIS, etc.)
    • Experience working in an Agile environment
    • Secondary Oracle & Business Process Experience: Inventory, Purchasing, Payables, SFDC
    • Clear understanding of Data Governance practices and methods
    • Understanding of Master Data Management
    • Working knowledge of Industry 4.0
