The CP&D Logistics Specialist is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and on-time shipment of all designated interplant moves, company wide. This includes, but not limited to : tooling, raw material, interplant and purchased products. The CP&D Logistics Specialist will work closely with the local plant fleets, OTR department, and approved common carriers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method for all internal freight, without disruption to the production schedule. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and off-hours / on-demand (on call) as needed. The CP&D Logistics Specialist reports to the Central Planning and Dispatch Manager but will work closely and receive guidance from all members of the Production Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Corporate Logistics teams.
