    Responsibilities

    Summary:

     

    The Corporate Automation Controls Engineer supports all aspects of ADS automation and control systems. This role will be key to designing, implementing an d monitoring systems and tools to meet new/changing process requirements through disciplined project management. The Corporate Automation Controls Engineer will also drive and track capital projects that will support automation and control systems.

     

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

     

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Works with the IT team and plant teams to implement upgrades and insure alignment with the future vision for manufacturing
    • Helps to train various plant resources to support new technologies
    • Develops standards for key areas of manufacturing
    • Ensures alignment with these standards amongst all teams
    • Aids in plant integration projects and support afterwards
    • Single point of contact for plant resources for controls concerns
    • Works closely with the corporate maintenance engineer to ensure continuity of work
    • Leads Operations projects using PMI process principles
    • Capable of communicating at all levels of the company
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Able to manage multiple complex multi-faceted projects
    • Keeps the team aligned to the defined project charters and project metrics
    • Experience with systematic problem solving tools
    • Customer focused
    • Capable of aligning all key stakeholders
    • Understands the ADS structure and capable of navigating the various corporate obstacles and avoid any pit falls
    • Able to manage internal/external/direct/indirect project team resources s needed

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to communicate at different levels within the organization

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelors' Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering

    Preferred Experience:

    • two (2) or more years of manufacturing experience 
    • Experience in capital project development and execution
    • Equipment/system level trouble shooting experience
    • Helped to develop/mentor other team members and project managers
    • Similar Job experience

    Other Requirements:

    • 40% travel is required
